Ripstop Nylon or spending more for ultralight materials like our Fortress. Ripstop nylon is lightweight, more durable, tear & puncture resistant weather resistant and stronger. We rain flys have a 2000 PU waterproof rating which is double the waterproof standard. Fun Fact: Ripstop Nylon is the primary material used in hot air balloons where your life depends on it. Note: We does not offer cheap polyester tarps because they are inferior quality. Ripstop nylon material costs more to produce & we simply refuse to put our name on a low quality product.
