It's a neat little unit. I put kerosene in it. The instructions say you can put petrol in it also. It turned out to be quite safe with petrol. It caught fire instantly the first time and burned for about 30 seconds with a decent size flame. After the wick has been used it is a bit harder to light with one strike but practice helps. You have to press hard.
Total junk after i filled it with fluid and trying to light it the Stryker Steel was wet and would not spark on the Flint. And when the Flint finally did spark the little bit of glue that held the Flint in place broke free and the Flint went flying out. garbage
