I wear/wore a 38D. I ordered a large. I just came back from the gym and it was all bad. I practically needed to hold myself in (no support). That being said I still love it! I dont want to wear a regular bra when I'm lounging around the house, so I usually go for a bralette. This will be perfect! It is super cute and super comfy. This is a terrific deal and well made. I took out the padding, btw. Perhaps if I order a medium or a small it will be more like a sports bra. Also keep in mind, this came a month later, I may have lost weight ;)
